Our Story

MarketPulse partners, Mary and Scott, formed MarketPulse originally to provide syndicated automotive benchmarking  studies.  Since then, clients have requested them to bring their combined 60+ years of quantitative (Scott) and qualitative (Mary) expertise to a variety of proprietary research projects including positioning research to benchmarking vehicles to conjoint trade-off exercises…just to name a few.

Our Team

MarketPulse’s team members work together as a cohesive, innovative group.  The senior staff have worked in the automotive research industry for at least 15 years and have been with the company since its inception.  

What does this experience mean for you as our client?

  • Due to this vast experience, clinic logistics operate in a seamless fashion.  If issues do arise, as we all know can happen, we approach the client not only with the problem but with a resolution so that the clinic can go on without a hitch.  To name a few of our clinic challenges…

    • earthquakes to snowstorms to blackouts
    • last minute stimuli changes to stimuli arriving halfway through the focus group
    • fun run that went through our drive study to a water main break
    • crying respondents to respondents screaming at fellow respondents

  • We understand the importance of treating both clients and respondents with respect and courtesy…and knowing how this can impact the research results

  • Interviewers and moderators are not local hires, but rather part of our on-staff team.  They hit the ground running when the first respondent walks in the door without having to consider the first interviews as “tests”.

Mary Jarman, Partner

Mary has over 30 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and consumer research globally.

Working for both FCA and General Motors in not only research functions but in planning, marketing, advertising, and forecasting, helped her deep understanding of client needs when she moved to the supplier side of the house.
